Scotland – May 2017
Again it is time to visit the holy land. Starting on May 24th the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2017 will be held on the Kintyre Peninsula. For everybody influenced by the Springbank Whisky this is a mandatory annual event.
This year it is a kind of special event. It is also the reunion of my Whisky School Term fro June 2014. Except one guy, Kohei from Japan, everybody will come to the former Whisky Capital and enjoy the festival.
My trip to the festival started on May 19th from Hamburg airport. Very heavy weather conditions made the flight to Edinburgh delay for nearly two hours.
My arrival time was 2:45 am – not really in time. A big compliment to my B&B host Jill, who runs an absolutely amazing B&B location on AirBnB. She was so patient and it wasn’t a problem for her that I checked in at 2:45!
The first day didn’t start very early. it was already 11:00 am when I entered the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
I would say an absolute must when you`re visiting Glasgow. Museums in Glasgow are free so you really should visit them! The next Gallery show some pictures from the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
I brought a Whisky from Germany to Scotland. Secale, a rye whisky from Isarnhoe Distillery in Eckernförde made the long way to the Whisky land.
